Create RTDB or Generate Code for MLToolkit Library Blocks Only

This example shows how to create an RTDB or generate SimWB-compliant code for a Simulink® model for only the MLToolkit Library blocks. This option is useful for large models because it may speed up the RTDB creation / SimWB-compliant code generation process.

Blocks provided with the MLToolkit Library are included in the library, mltoolkitBlocklib. This library includes the sublibraries: simwbSfunlib and simwbCustomBlocklib. These sublibraries contain blocks such as the toRTDB and fromRTDB blocks, the DBC CAN Block, and the PAS2080_Pulse_In blocks.

Workflow

• Open your Simulink model. For example, ccur_outstring: open_system ccur_outstring
• Open the MLToolkit GUI. In the model editor, select SimWB > Toolkit.
• In the Simulator Access tab, log into the real-time host and specify the group and project.
• Click RTDB Creator.
• In the Create RTDB Variables pane, check Using MLToolkit Library Blocks Only.
• Specify the RTDB name using the RTDB list.
• Click Create and Upload RTDB to generate the RTDB.
• Next, to generate SimWB-compliant code for this model, click Code Generator. Your RTDB creation options and RTDB name are carried over from the previous tab. Specify any compiler and/or linker options using the Compiler Options and Linker Options edit boxes.
• Click Generate, Export, and Make.
