FANPOD-DD2

This panel provides support for mapping inputs and outputs for Fantec™ wheel base and peripherals to RTDB items.

Please note that this I/O task will work with ClubSport Wheel Base V2/V2.5, and Podium Wheel Base DD1/DD2.
Supported steering wheels would include CSL Elite Steering Wheel WRC, ClubSport Steering Wheel Formula V2/V2.5, and Podium Steering Wheel Porshe™ 911 GT3 R.

Steering Wheel

In the mapping dialog for FANPOD-DD2, mappable controls can be found, including Wheel Buttons, Auxiliary Vertical/Horizontal axes, Up/Down positions for both Left and Right Toggle Switches, as well as RGB LEDs.
Below is a condensed representation of the FANPOD-DD2 mapping dialogue. This information is accompanied by an example ClubSport Steering Wheel Diagram.

Within the ClubSport Steering Wheel Diagram, nomenclature for the buttons, toggle switches, paddles, and horizontal/vertical axes correlate with the controls presented in the mapping dialogue.
An example database showcasing controls as mapped on the ClubSport Steering Wheel to those depicted in the dialogue below is accessible within the FANPOD-DD2 project.

Pedals

Pedals can be configured in a manner similar to the Steering Wheel. To do this, establish AI RTDB variables for the brake, clutch, and accelerator pedals within the Analog Points creation panel.
Once these variables are created, they should be assigned controls through the FANPOD-DD2 mapping dialogue.
For reference, the FANPOD-DD2 project as previously mentioned includes examples of such mappings.
These are presented below as follows: 'acc' for the Accelerator, 'brk' for the Brake, and 'clu' for the Clutch.

I/O Task Support

Steering Wheel: The wheel's position can range from -540 to +540. A value below 0 corresponds to a left turn, whereas a value above 0 indicates a right turn.
Torque Output: Torque output ranges from -100 to +100. Any value below 0 corresponds to a left turning motion, while any value above 0 indicates a right turning motion.
Wheel Button 1: Each input value corresponds to a specific directional command as follows: 0: Move Up, 2: Move Right, 4: Move Down, 6: Move Left, 8: Center/Neutral Position.
Wheel Button 7: Each input value corresponds to a specific directional command as follows: 1: Scroll Down, 2: Scroll Up.
Wheel Button 16: Each input value corresponds to a specific directional command as follows: 1: Scroll Up, 2: Scroll Down.
Wheel Button 22: Each input value corresponds to a specific directional command as follows: 1: Move Right, 2: Move Left.
Wheel Button 23: Each input value corresponds to a specific directional command as follows: 1: Move Right, 2: Move Left.

Accelerator: The pedal operates within a range of 0 to 100. A value of 100 is attained when the pedal is fully depressed.
Brake: The pedal operates within a range of 0 to 100. A value of 100 is attained when the pedal is fully depressed.
Clutch: The pedal operates within a range of 0 to 100. A value of 100 is attained when the pedal is fully depressed.
